Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
Youssef Al-Saghir, MD, FACC, FSCAI, FABVM
Thank you for your interest in our interventional cardiology fellowship at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. The interventional cardiology fellowship is an ACGME accredited, one-year program and is designed to provide comprehensive, high-volume clinical experience across the full spectrum of interventional cardiology.
The program is complemented by strong mentorship, academic rigor, and a commitment to innovation and excellence in patient care. Our faculty take great pride in fostering an environment that emphasizes technical excellence, clinical judgment, scholarly activity, and professional growth.
Fellows in our Interventional Cardiology Fellowship develop advanced expertise in coronary, structural, and peripheral interventions while gaining mastery in intravascular imaging, physiologic assessment, and complex decision-making.

Training emphasizes high-quality procedural experience, comprehensive hemodynamic assessment, mechanical circulatory support, and the management of high-risk and complex patients. Fellows also build strong clinical judgment through multidisciplinary collaboration, outcomes focused research, and are prepared for excellence in independent practice or academic careers. Through a diverse patient panel from Duval, Clay, and Putnam counties, fellows will be exposed to an array of disease states and clinical situations that will ready them for future practice.
We seek fellows who are intellectually curious, highly motivated, and dedicated to advancing cardiovascular care. Our faculty members are deeply invested in fellow education and work closely with fellows to support their individual career goals, whether in academic cardiology, clinical practice, or research.
